Has the vehicle been properly
maintained? VERY IMPORTANT! Have engine oil changes been done every
3,750 miles and routine maintenance services (Minor, Intermediate,
and Major) done every 7500 miles? Does the owner have records
showing what has been done? |

Check the fluids. Engine oil should be
clean and full. Automatic transmission oil should be pink and not
smell burnt. Radiator fluid should be bright green, not rusty. If
not, vehicle has not been properly maintained.

Start engine. Does it run rough? Any smoke
(white or blue) from tailpipe? |
| 4. |
Road test. Does transmission seem to
shift properly? Any unusual noises (humming, growling, squeaking,
grinding, etc.)?

Inspect all glass in vehicle for cracks or
other damage. |
| 6. |
Check all power windows and sunroof for
proper operation. Any noises, slow movement, loose movement?

| 7. |
Check all power accessories; air
conditioning, cruise control, power door locks, radio/cassette/CD
player, etc. |
| 8. |
Check for signs of fluid leakage in engine
compartment and under vehicle. Leaking valve cover gasket indicates
lack of proper maintenance. |

Inspect body for rust and other body
damage. Has vehicle been in any accidents?

If the vehicle passes
your initial inspection, schedule an appointment to have a
comprehensive vehicle inspection performed. If the owner won’t let
you bring the vehicle in for an inspection you don’t want to buy
it!
